3 of my favorite photos

I love this photo. This is an example of a close up. The colors make the flower stand out because it is so bright as opposed to the dark green background behind it. The angle shows an interesting view on the flower that most people wouldn't see normally.

I like the colors in the photo. The contrast between the bright and the dark makes the plant stand out and catch the attention of the viewer of the photo. This was an example of diagonals. The plant creates the diagonal lines from one side of the frame to the other.

This photo really stands out to me. This is a section of a fountain in Washington Park. The background isn't distracting and makes the fountain stand out. The detail in this section of the fountain makes the photo very intriguing to look at. The fact that the fountain is dark and the background is light makes the photo interesting aswell.

These photos were taken for a framing assignment. They were taken in different areas around Portland including the farmers market, Washington Park and my house. The captions bellow the photo show the different framing techniques that I used for the assignment.

This photo is by Arnel Henry. I love the image that it creates. It reminds me of fun memories at the beach and has a happy feeling to it. The background allows the viewer to focus on the hand and draws their eye to it. The colors in this photo work well together.

This photo is by Robin Shcwartz. It has a playful and entertaining feeling to it. The image is lighted well and the use of colors draws your eye to the little girl. The elephant is at an interesting angle and makes it almost look smaller than it really is.

 

I love the lighting in this photograph. It almost looks like an old faded picture which goes well with the subject in the photograph. This photo has beautiful colors and an interesting look to it. It is intriguing to look at.
